The anti-fragmentation groin protector, designed by M-Tac, serves as an additional element of protection for the groin and sacral area of the body against ricochets and debris.

 

Features

  1. Made of Cordura 500D nylon, a heavy-duty fabric that resists abrasion and high stress.
  2. Both sides of the apron are equipped with Laser Cut MOLLE webbing.
  3. The protector is equipped with a ballistic package designed to protect against ricochets and shrapnel. The package is made of ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) and is STANAG 2920 compliant with an anti-shrapnel resistance V-50 of about 580 m/s. Armor package with similar composition corresponds to 1a class (9x18 APS) according to DSTU 4103-2002, and 1 class (9x18 APS, 9x19 Luger) according to the new DSTU 8782:2018 (In 1a, 1 class is understood to be equivalent in composition, which is tested on standard samples of 400 x 400 mm. Therefore, on samples of smaller size and shape, the trauma level may be different).
  4. The groin protector attaches under the flap of a plate carrier or body armor with two velcro straps that allow for height adjustment.
